Weddings
Christian marriage is a celebration of the love shared between two people who have chosen to join together in a sacred, covenantal relationship. The marriage ceremony is a public declaration of love shared and promises made before God and witnesses. We at Crossfield United are privileged to offer wedding ceremonies grounded in the ideals of Christian love. Please contact the minister in order to arrange a meeting to discuss your ceremony.
A variety of fees apply for a wedding, based on size and your specific needs. Rates can be discussed when you contact the minister. Our Sanctuary has a capacity of approximately 200 people.
Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is one of two sacraments in the United Church of Canada, the other being Holy Communion. The minister would be pleased to assist you in discerning whether Baptism is the right path to pursue as an expression of your spirituality.
Baptism is a sign of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. In Baptism we recall that Jesus himself was baptized by John in the Jordan River to inaugurate his ministry of teaching and healing. We look also to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 where Christ calls the Church to baptize all nations in the name of the Triune God – Father, Son, and Spirit. In Baptism we believe the Holy Spirit is mysteriously present and active and therefore in the United Church we baptize people of all ages, including infants. Baptism is about dying and rising with Christ, signifying a major commitment of faith in one’s life.

Funerals
Funerals are always a difficult time in anyone’s life. The emotions involved in losing a loved one can be more trying than a person might expect. Please contact the minister regarding a celebration of life, funeral or memorial arrangement. Our minister will offer pastoral support in any way possible during this difficult time. Standard fees apply and should be discussed with the minister.
